: Hi,

: This will sound like a silly question but I am doing some research study and I need to know if Marigolds are companion plants? Do they grow better with other types of plants in close proximity like radishes for example? Or will they do better in a planter box alone?

Actually, no question is silly. I did a search at and put in quotes "marigolds as companion" and got 7 hits. From what I've read, it seems that the marigolds are the companions to other plants to attract beneficial insects.

Here's one that might help you out.
