Giant Celosia

Last year I was given several Giant Celosia seedlings. They grew into beautiful Giant Red Cockscomb Celosia. We saved the seed and planted this year to produce our own. Only the plants are producing the yellow feather variety instead. Is the Giant variety a Hybrid? How can we raise the same red variety again. Any help would be appreciated.
