Could it be slugs? Go out at night with a flashlight and look for them on the undersides of the leaves. You can set out margarine tubs, or something similar, half full of cheap beer. The slugs will crawl in and drown. Refill every couple of days.

Rogor is a broad spectrum pesticide for sucking bugs and you have something that is chewing. You should always try and identify the pest before you just use a pesticide. Safer for you and the environment.
