: I have both tall and bushy snapdragons. 1- Will the bushy ones grow tall? 2 -If I cut the tall ones to bring inside, where do I cut them, and will that same plant get new buds and continue to flower all summer? ( I live in the Northwest, and everything is in full bloom and still growing right now). Thanks! Alicia

I don't think the bushy ones will get tall. You would need to know the variety or look at the plant label. You can do a search at www.google.com and put the name in quotes (preferably the Latin name and the variety). You can also click on 'Images' and often get pictures.

To cut them to take into the house, cut the stem as close to the base of the plant as possible. They should keep blooming for you, as cutting will encourage this. Since it's an annual, it wants to flower and produce seed and die. If you keep cutting the spent flowers, it will keep trying to do its job of producing seed and keep flowering until exhausted or taken by frost.

Hope this helped,
Newt
