: Hi, I consider myself a very experienced gardener and work in my yard and garden almost full time, but I am stumped. I put in beds in my front with impatients. They started out beautifully and were so full and pretty, but now, they look terrible. The leaves are all brown and yellow, and they have become smaller than the original plants I put in there, with very few blooms. This change took place within a two week span. Everything else in the beds. . .caliduims, columbines, mums are going great guns, and even the New Guinea impatients are doing wonderful. The funny part is that I also have impatients in window boxes and containers on my front porch right next to the ones in the ground and they are doing great. It's just the regular impatients that are dying. What could be causing this?I'm baffled.
