I was having similar trouble with impatiens in a windowbox and did some research. It is possible that you have been overwatering the plants (you might want to check to make sure you have enough drainage -- not just rocks or shards at the bottom of the pot, but holes for the water to run out of). Too much water, especially if it gets on the leaves, can promote growth of a fungus, which then causes yellow leaves. Pluck those yellow leaves off and there's a chance you can save the plant. Mine are doing better already, although I still don't have too many flowers, just better looking plants.
