: :   My step mother bought a plant and we've never seen one like it before . The leaves are similar to moss roses but they are not as thick or large as this and the flowers look like a small crab claw and are colored orange & black . They were so different - she said she purchased it at Lowes - but the stick with the directions was gone - we don't know if its an annual or a perenial - she did plant it with other annuals in a lg pot outside and so far the cold has not bothered it.  I'd love to know what this is so I could find some of my own!!  i did go back to Lowes and asked about it and the workers didn't have any idea what I was talking about!! Thanks for all your help!

: Sounds like a neat plant.  I suspect it's a tender perennial treated as an annual.  You might want to ask these folks.  Let them know what state you're in.
