I have a medium-small bed with (I think French)marigolds lined around part of the rim. A friend of mine told me that if you clip off the dead marigold blooms, pull out the seeds, and sprinkle them around the bed, they might grow. I did this with a couple of buds, and to my suprise, I had marigold sprouts appearing around the back/middle of my (empty) bed. Naturally I started to do this more, seeing that the middle of the bed would have just been empty space. But instead of sprinkling the seeds around, I started planting the seeds from the bud. I've been noticing that my results are a little hap-hazard. I've gotten a couple of good groups of flowers sprouting, but only about 50 percent of the groups I plant. Thanks for reading, :)
