: I read the other day that it is not necessary to deadhead wave petunias. Is this true? They go to seed just like my regular petunias, so I dont understand. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you Hi Vickie, It's my understanding that the 'waves' don't need deadheading because they don't get leggy as they grow. The deadheading of petunias is to keep them blooming and bushy. I'm growing the 'wave' for the first time this year and just love them. I have them in a large pot and they just keep blooming, stay full and I don't have to fuss with them. I like that! :-) This should help explain it. http://www.burgerfarms.com/annualsperinnials.htm Regards, Newt
