Tulipworld
bulbs meet the high standards of the Quality
Mark of Dutch Flower Bulbs. The quality is inspected
by the Dutch Plant Health Department. Bulbs
exported to the USA are pre-inspected by the
representative of the US Ministry of Agriculture
in the Netherlands.
Bulb size
The best quality measure of a bulb is its size. After blooming bulbs start to replenish the depleted food supply for the coming season. The bigger the bulb the more nutrients it contains. Small bulbs have insufficient nutrients for healthy growth and will often be unable to produce a flower. They will certainly not return the next season. Large bulbs are strong; they produce large flowers, return for several years in a row and will often survive extremely poor soil and unfavorable conditions. |

Computer controlled storage facilities
When not planted bulbs are sensitive to temperature and humidity. Every bulb has its own favorite storage climate. The TulipWorld bulbs are stored under the ideal circumstances in computer controlled storage facilities in Breezand, Holland. To maintain the highest level of quality upon delivery, TulipWorld bulbs have received flawless treatment during cleaning, sorting and conserving. During transportation, total care and quality are equally guaranteed. We send our bulbs just in time for planting. Plant the bulbs upon arrival to avoid any risk of loss of quality.
Shipment to North America
Bulbs for North America are shipped in climate-controlled containers that are equipped with recorders that monitor the slightest temperature changes during the journey. We receive those recordings after the trip, which allows us to determine if the bulbs arrived in the port of destination under the best conditions. Upon arrival in the harbour of Newark we check the quality of the bulbs before TNT and USPS distribute them.
The TulipWorld guarantee
If despite our efforts the quality of our product or service is not in accordance with your expectations, please notify us immediately and we will take all the steps necessary to keep your trust.
Healthy bulbs are firm, not flabby; they have no soft spots, bruises or blemishes; and they are notably heavy in relation to their size. When they are too dry they become crispy. When they show rot you should not attempt to plant them. Sometimes bulbs loose their outer tunics, but this is not a problem. Bulbs can hide internal damage, even for the practised eye. We guarantee top quality, but occasionally some may have been damaged or overheated in shipment. We check the bulbs when we package them as well as when they arrive overseas. Whenever something is wrong, please notify us at once.
