Aloe Vera Blooms

My largest Aloe Vera plant has grown a tall stem from its center, filled with buds. I assume they will soon turn into blooms of flowers. I have seen many A.V. plants in my day, but I've never seen blooms on any of them. Can someone out there enlighten me and/or send me a picture of one in bloom. I have no way at present to take a picture of mine and put it on the net.
