Where to put my jade

I have moved my jade from a medium light place to a western exposure. Is is too hot for a jade to have western exposure? It has dropped quite a few leaves and looks pretty droopy these days, but has extremely dry soil on top so I don't think I have overwatered. What does a jade plant like in terms of water and sun??????
