: I have moved my jade from a medium light place to a western exposure. Is is too hot for a jade to have western exposure? It has dropped quite a few leaves and looks pretty droopy these days, but has extremely dry soil on top so I don't think I have overwatered. What does a jade plant like in terms of water and sun??????

Hi Michelle,

Jade plants like full sun and water when dry. You should put your finger in the soil and if it's dry to the first knuckle, it's time to water. Make sure that it doesn't sit in a saucer of water as this will cause it to rot.

Hope this helps,
Newt
