old jade plant not doing so well....

: I was given a huge jade plant(foliage 4' diameter).
: It sits at my office w/ lots of sun and initially did well.  Lately I noticed little red spots and sprayed w/ dilute dishwater/water combo.  The spots are gone, but the foliage is wrinkled and limbs are dropping.
: Should I water more?  Water less? Plant food?
: (I realize the problem may be the dishwater and have discontinnued - maybe I should spray w/ plain water?)
: Thanks for any suggestions - I really like the plant and hope it does better.
