Killed my aloe?

I think I have killed my aloe. I thought it would be warm enough to start leaving out over night, but came home after Mem Day weekend and my beautiful, thick-leaved aloe is turning brown and withering! Help! I have babied this plant from a start I got from a friend a year ago. It was almost 3 feet tall and very heavy until last weekend. What should I do? Thanks:(
