Dog at the leaves of my new bonsai

My mom sent me a bonsai tree for mothers day and I put it outside like it said in a rock garden that had a fence but somehow my dog got it and ate all of the leaves off it. It is a satsuki azalea according to the packaging. It is now just a small thing with twigs coming out of it. Before it had a lot of leaves. Can I save it and how?

haha.. had bonsai last time and yes same thing,, my dog ate it.. my mom says it's important that the primary roots and a little of it's trunk remained and she was right after quite some time, watering and giving it a little of that sunshine,, the leaves grew back like nothing happened..

LOL reminds me of my dog, I also had to change some things around the house too.
