Wildflower mix seed pack
I am completely new to gardening so bare with me! There is a place in front of our porch that is in desperate need of something, so I bought a pack of wild flower seed mix. I'm not quite sure how to go about planting them though. I tilled up the dirt and there are a lot of little roots. So many that I would never be able to get them all up. I was thinking I would put some landscaping fabric down to keep any weeds from popping up. Should I do fabric with garden soil on top and plant the seeds in there? Or will it be too shallow?

Don't do the landscape fabric. Add additional manure to improve the soil and rake out any additional roots you may see. Level your soil, sprinkle your seeds and then provide a lite coat of topsoil on top of the seeds.... be sure to mist or spray water daily if the soil looks dry.
