Garden disaster
This last fall, I planted some spring blooming bulbs. Well, with the coming of spring, all of my bulbs were producing wonderful looking stalks and green leaves. I am new at gardening, but this garden was going to be my baby. I would even go out there to cover the new growths if it was to frost that night.
We are having a garage built behind out house and the electrical people came in and back hoed part of my garden up AHHHHHH!!!! I saved about 4 bulbs.
My question is, since the root systems were damaged, will they continue to produce on schedule, produce later this year, produce next year, or are they dead as a door nail.
Thank you in advance for your responses.

Where did they dump the dirt they back-hoed from behind the garage?
If they dumped it in a pile elsewhere on your property, you will be surprised that you will have tulips blooming there!
If they just scraped off some topsoil, your tulips should still bloom this Spring. Cross your fingers!

Just try.......
I'm not sure how to answer your question, but I will tell you what I would do. Whatever you salvaged, plant it! If it comes up, great! If not, oh well! Use your own judgement to determine the balance between chances of survival vs. time spent planting. (i.e., if you think it will survive, do a good job planting it; if you don't think it will survive, just do enough to give it a fighting chance.) At least, that's what I would do. Others may disagree!
