Hi Luverofplants,

Aluminum is very popular these days and there is alot available these days that look like wrought iron.* I would think that the style of your garden would dictate the type of furniture you use.

If you are considering wood, teak is excellent, but I would only use or purchase sustainably harvested teak. Alaska yellow cedar is also good as well as preservative treated southern yellow pine.* Here's a site that explains sustainably harvested wood.

I agree with Newt.. .I have aluminum set which I purchased from Costco.*

If you were going to make your furniture, it's all based on your design and how long you would like it to last.* Teak is the prefered, followed by cedar or swamp cedar.* Some people like to dabble into making wicker chairs out of willow branches.

I use to make furniture out of drift wood.* I can hear the chain saw now.

I personally think wood looks a lot better than the aluminum many people use today, but it's all about personal taste and what you like.

It also has to do with your location. I'm in the PNW and I know I could use wood (teak) but due to the maintenance, I elected to use aluminum.

If you were traveling to accomplish your furniture, it's all based on your architecture and how continued you would like it to last.* Teak is the prefered, followed by cedar or swamp cedar.* Some humans like to dabble into authoritative cobweb chairs out of willow branches.

Garden Furniture

Any garden furniture made from recycled timber as i do not agree with the felling of our trees, all garden furniture made uses natural resources in one way or another.
