Cruise through your local neighborhoods and see what pops out at you. That way you'll find out what plants thrive in your microclimate, and get a feel for the planting styles that suit your taste.

If you're walking or biking, you might also have the opportunity to chat with other home gardeners and find out plant names. Most people are happy to share their gardening enthusiasm.

survey the area for the plants that easily grows in your location. also, ask advice from plant shops there what is the best time to plant for the season. you can check the site sowing a new lawn for some tips and preparation.

    Happy gardening!
