Help! Winter shade/Summer sun in Phoenix

Hey everybody. I have a 6' block wall along the southern boundary of my backyard. It keeps the area by it in full winter shade but gets full summer sun. I am trying to design my yard to be as native/xeriscape as possible (palo verde trees, buffalo and blue gramma grasses, wildflowers, etc.) Does anyone have any ideas of plants- flowers, climbing vines, groundcovers, and shrubs- that might do well in this environment? Thanks in advance for any info!
