I need opinions of real gardeners on my show sample. I'm not spamming, I legitmately seek your opinions for my show. Thanks Patti(Garden Girl)

Hats off for giving this a try.* Like most of us, we have some knowledge about gardening, but you have the passion to take it one step futher.

I didn't*understand if this*was promo tape for a job or something else.* If it's for a job, the presentation was acceptable. If this wasn't a promo tape for a job, you covered several topic without informing the audiance of your agenda at the beginning of the tape.**

What I remember.... Raised bed project to grow organics; how to use tools and visit your website to aquire additional data*about the project.* Then you moved on to a pond which cause a little confusion.* This is why I thought it was a promo tape for a job.

What was your message when you went to the pond area?* You stated to the audiance we should apply certain chemicals or orgainc products to the pond to control bugs.*Is that all you were trying to present?

Then your next area if I remember was the wool spinning and collecting process.* It was quick, so I will assume now this is a promo tape to someone like HGTV.

I would watch you versus some of the other faces I've seen on gardening*shows .

Thanks for watching. It's a show sample. I guess it is designed to show the general subject and the presentation. The format is supposed to be short so that tv execs can get the idea and see if they want to see more. Thanks again, for you comments.

Patti, I liked what you did and enjoyed the topics.* I would only ask that you not have the camera zip around when filming for a show.* I find it makes me dizzy and can't watch shows like that.

    Nicely done.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm trying to make it appeal to younger viewers, hence the MTV style camera work. Please help me by fowarding the link around as much as possible, I figure it will be helpfull to Network exec types. If you can leave some comments on the google site I would be very appreciative. Thanks again for the support.

Patti, you are very welcome!* Zipping a camera around doesn't mean young viewers will appreciate it.* I asked my 30ish son and he said that 50% of the time it makes him dizzy too.* A great majority of gardeners are the over 50 crowd that now has time to garden.* Do some reading at HGTV General Gardening and you'll find there aren't many 'young' gardeners but there's a fairly big 30's crowd with young kids there.* I moderate at several forums and answer questions at many more.* I know there is one teen that posts here from time to time and is also one of 3 teens on another board.*

    Hope that's helpful.

Thanks again. Its hard to figure out the true demographics for this show. I figured I'd try the MTV look.* I also think seeing it on computer screen might make it feel more "dizzying", but thanks again for the support and please forward that link to some of those other message boards where you answer questions it would be a big help, I have a long way to go if I'm going to get this show on air.
