Killing a massive buddleia

I have a massive buddleia in my back garden which has completely destroyed one of the walls. I have cut the root right down as far as i can but can't dig it out completely as it dissapears down into the walls base. I need a way of killing it so I can rebuild the wall over it without it growing back again.

You could 'paint' the cut ends with either Brush B Gone or Round Up Concentrate. Use a disposable foam brush and don't do it within 24 hours of rain.
