    Question Mosquito Repellants

Hey all.....It has rained a lot in the past couple of weeks in my town and there has been a lot of standing water in my backyard which has become a breeding ground for mosquitos. Whenever I have gone out to garden I literally get eaten alive. I have sensitive skin and most mosquito/bug repellants irritate my skin. Do any of you all have any suggestions for some mosquito repellants that are gentle on the skin?

If you were looking for a lotion or spray, i would recommend Gardeners Armor, It is like a 4 in one barrier cream. It not only will protect you from bug bites, but it also protects against the suns rays, poison ivy, and makes it easier to scrub dirt off of yourself after you are done gardening.

    Hi Nancy,

You might want to look into doing something to aid the drainage situation. I've also read that Avon's Skin-So-Soft helps.

Other ideas. At this first site, it was recommended by a friend.

You might also want to read this about plants that really don't work.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
