Mulching
My leaf blower has an attachment that will make mulch out of leaves. Anyone ever mulched flower beds like this? How thick should I make it?
What is the best mulch? Thanks!

Now that it is Spring, you wouldn't want to put mulch OVER the plants but leaf mulch is a WONDERFUL mulch to put around your perenials.
It will hold in the moisture and be good food for your plants.
When leaves decompose they become what us gardeners call "Black Gold"

Hi Rootdigging,
Great advice from Janie. A 3" to 4" layer would be good.

Thanks guys! I can't wait to get started but still too early :(

Did you happen to read that post about getting 'millions' of plants from some
modern clone technique?
I answered on it about prefering to do it the old-fashioned way by
dividing perenials and sometimes by taking cuttings and starting them that way.
But the entire thread disappeared! Any ideas where it went :?:
Sincerely, Janie :D
