    Need Some Ideas?

I have a small back yard, But I do have a large flower bed that is 6 foot by 10 foot. I have some baby pine trees growing but I don't really have a design in mind for the flowers I should plant. Half of the area is shaded all day. And the rest in full sun. What I would like to do is plant tall flowers along the fence and plant the flowers from biggest to littlest. But because half of the bed is shaded I dont know where to begin or even the types of flowers to plant.

    Need to ideas!!

    Hi Cherry,

I'm not familiar with your area, but Fresno County has zones 7, 8 and 9. There are many plants that will work for you. You might want to ask these folks.

Do let them know your hardiness zone.

hostas love shade - check types for your zone

How about some tall shrubs near the back and then fill in with different annuals and perennials.

I love the korean lilac (one of my favorites.)
