New to California (San Jose, Zone 9b, mediterranean climate)

I'm a native southerner and used to remarkably different weather than what I'm not experiencing--tho I'm certainly not complaining about 65-degree winter days. :)

I've been in San Jose, CA for 3 months now and have been astounded by the vegatation. Color, blooms, fresh fruist and veges available even at Christmas! I've been so excited to get stuff in the ground and pots that I've just started going wild with my planting. Unfortunately, this has included a crash course in soil ph, watering (over/under), and the like.

Just looking for some advice on fruit trees and native vegetation or any resources folks could point out. :)

    Enjoy the weekend!
