I received a request to order Peach Blow Potatoes.* Anyone know where to buy this potato type?

It looks like a potato from the early 1900's

I've searched the usual heirloom sites and so far nothing.* I did find this post from the Mid-West Open Air Museums Coordinating Council where someone mentions having them, but unfortunately that was 2 1/2 years ago.* The Eastern Native Seed Conservancy site they mention closed down last week.* :(

Seeds of Change doesn't list what they will carry as of yet as it's too late/early in the season.* Worth checking back though.

This potato looks something like the one you are seeking.

I found this site that lists many seed savers and exchanges.* Be sure to scroll down to 'Buying heirloom and OP seeds: Commercial sources'.

I'll keep searching, but if you find them please let me know.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Peach Glow potato is also known by the name 'Jersey Peach Glow.* It's supposed to be the only Irish potato that exists from before the potato famine in the 1850's.* I think I found it!!!

I don't think you can order from this site.* I think it's for reference only.* The lady stated her grandfather use to grow them in Illinois.

    Dang!!* :?*

I don't see your question here, but it was in my mailbox, so I'll explain how I searched.* I started my search with google and the term: potato 'Peach Blow'.* I went to several sites and didn't find much that was helpful for purchase, just info about the potato and lots of scientific stuff.*

Then I did another search with: potato 'Peach Blow' + retail.* From that I found a couple of forums and other sites that sold peaches and/or potatoes.* I would always try the 'cached' version first to see if the words I was using to search would be highlighted and make it quicker for me. At each retail site I would also search all the potatoes they offered.* Some sites had 'resources' that gave links like some of the sites I gave you, or they had links.* I kept searching for potato at each one.* At the forums I'd look through some posts and see if I could find anything with discussions on potatoes or heirloom seeds.

I'm running out of time tonight and the next few days are going to be really busy, so I might not have time to do more searching until after Christmas.* :(* Hope that's ok.
