    Exclamation Pods On A Magnolia

    Hi,

My name is Judy. I have 3 Bracken's Brown Beauty Magnolias. My question is : Should I remove the pods that are left after the flower fades away?

Nope. The pods will have fruits in them that do add a hint of color in the autumn and winter.

As long as the trees are healthy and maturing, any fruiting bodies are not going to take all that much energy from the tree. If they are young trees and flowered heavily, you could selectively prune the pods. I suspect by this time they've pretty much grown all they will though.
