I went and got some goat manure for fertilizer that my neighbors cleaned out of the stall. Apparently it was trampled down pretty good and it came out in big sheets. It looks composted as I cant see any pellets at all.

Can I just break up the sheets a little to use around my plants or do I need to really till it in and make it fine?

I've usually use horse manure and I have never seen it like this.
