    Rhubarb

Hi, This past spring I made my first rhubarb bed. It has done very well this year, but fall is here. What do I need to do to get it ready for next spring? I have not harvested any stalks at all. Do I leave all the stalks for the winter, and then what do I do this coming spring with the last years stalks to make the plants ready for the new growing season? :?:

I don't do much to mine, except to cover it with leaves, for the winter. It is really hardy, and should come back very nice for you.

Thank you for the reply. I take it that the old stalks die down and then I can just pick them up in the spring?

Yes, the leaves, and stalks, die back, with freezing temps. Rhubarb, is a easy plant to clean up, in the spring, just toss last years leaves, and it's ready to start in again.
