Shade Garden Plants

Hi People:
I am new to this site. I live in zone 5 and have a shade garden. I am considering Astilbe for it. Any thoughts on how it performs and where to get it?

Hi Frecklesb,

Astlibe can grow as low as zone 4 and likes light to moderate shade. In average garden soil it requires partial shade and tolerates full sun where moisture is ample.

You should be able to purchase it at local garden centers or do a search on google for on line sources. Also check this site for references for on line shopping.
