I'm thinking of using the chicken wire method for use as a composte site. Does location in sun or shade make any difference in the composting process?

Hi Rexamus,
I'm so sorry I didn't see your post sooner.Your compost will break down faster if it's in the sun so that it heats up. It is also better to have sun for killing weed seeds. In the shade it can take 2 years for the organic material to break down.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
