A few weeks ago, we had a series of torrential rains that so saturated the ground that a mulberry tree eased over, listing at about forty-five degrees. I winched it back upright and braced it with timbers and it has lost no leave and looks good. I packed in about three cubic feet of top soil around its base, tapering it up to about six inches above ground level. My concern is, this added soil, packed against the trunk, might be bad. Does anyone have an answer? Many thanks from a first time poster/member.
