What did you plant this weekend?

Ok everybody, this thread should start some conversations.... What did you plant this weekend?

For me, the weekend started Friday at noon. (I left work early!)

Hydrangea, gardenia, agapanthus, japanese flowering quince, and some black mondo grass.

All of these plants are new to me except the gardenia and mondo grass. (In that I've never personally grown them before.) But isn't that most of the fun of planting something? Growing something you've never grown before? I love the black mondo grass, but man is it expensive. I just get a sprig every now and then.

All of these go towards my quest to turn the backyard into a cottage garden. I'm still years away.........

Tomorrow will be a transplanting day. Bamboo, perennial sunflowers, and daisies will be moved.

Planted some Leucothe 'Rainbow' today that was really happy to be out of pots and divided some Lady's mantle... and prepared to plant my new pots.... (but that meant finishing the porch painting first... so, to be updated :) )
