    Mealybug attack :-(

    Hello again

I have noticed a 'cotton like' appearance at the base of some of my aloe plants. I dont want to use any pesticides or anything because I use the aloe gel on my children, so can anyone give me any natural methods of getting rid of these pests please?

Also, the infected plants are under a growlight with lots of others, how far away from the rest do the infected plants need to be?

    Thankyou for any advice

I've had luck getting rid of mealy bugs by using rubbing alcohol. Just dip a cotton swab in the alcohol and dab it on the mealy bug. Good luck!

Hi Rebecca and thanks for your reply. We dont seem to have rubbing alcohol in the UK, however I do believe we have a similar product named surgical spirit so I'll give that a go!

    Thanks again :)
