I just got a new aloe plant and for some reason if you cut one of the leaves it starts oozing a bright yellow juice that smells rather pungent (much like someone who hasn't showered in quite some time). Other than that it seems alright except for the leaves are a little pale towards the stem. I was wondering if the oozing was normal or if not if there was anything that I could do to make it better.

How's your aloe doing? I would think that the fluid that comes out might be different if it's not an aloe vera.

which aloe do you have?
I've 3 varieties but they all have a clear sap/gel.
