Hi all
I'll be planting my first Herbal garden this year in our back yard, which will be the herbs I use for my holistic herbal therapy wraps.* Buying bulk herbs tends to be a bit more expensive each year.* We live in NJ & have a lot of clay in our soil.* I would appreciate any advice. Thank you very much.* Enjoy reading the posts, much knowledge & information here. Olivia in NJ * |

Hi Olivia,
The best advice I can give you for planting is to add lots of compost to the planting beds. A 4" layer mixed into the soil would be good.* It will help break up the clay, improve drainage and feed the soil that feeds the plants.* Here's some helpful info about herbs. http://www.backyardgardener.com/herb/index.html Newt
