    Aloe Vera

    I just bought in aloe vera...Does anyone have any advice on soil, temperature, humidity, etc.

    Aloes are succulent plants which means they store water in the leaves. You will kill this plant with too much water before you do with not enough.

    To tell if your aloe needs water feel the leaves, if they feel soft, water, if they are firm, don't.

    They like east or west light, I have some in both. Depending on what type aloe you have they can even have shade and not mind. In AZ I had Tiger Aloes growing under bushes.

    They grow very well in Arizona so a dry atmosphere doesn't bother them.

    I have had mine in regular potting soil for quite a while without problems, if you can afford the cactus mix, buy some of that but it isn't necessary.
