Leggy?

I have a house plant, not sure the name of it. But it is losing the leaves at the bottom. Is that called Leggy? What can I do to keep it from doing that?

Yes, that is what is called leggy. It depends on the plant as to whether or not you can force leaves to grow where the stem is bare. Take a look here and see if you can id the plant. You can click on the pictures for a better view. Let me know and I'll try and help or maybe someone else can.
