    Identify a perennial

    Hello,
I resently raided a friend's garden, they want only lawn. I don't know one of the plants.
It has tuberous roots, long (15-18") stems with a cluster of pinnate, ribbed, ovate leaves towards the top. The top healthly droops over and there are dangley buds forming at each leaf/stem juncture. It hasn't bloomed yet so, I have no flower description. The leaves are mid green and smooth.
Any ideas...all help is appreciated. I am trying to borrow a digital camera and then I can post a picture.

    Thank you.
