Ranunculus Buttered Popcorn

I planted Ranunculus Buttered Popcorn, a varigated ground cover 2 years ago. It is taking over my garden like an invasive. How do I contain it?

Dig, dig, dig... Keep digging them out and try and get all the roots. You might even consider taking out large shovelfulls and sifting to get all the roots. Weeding is best done the day after a rain when the soil can more easily be worked.
