I planted both a couple of weeks ago in various places. A couple of days ago we had an unexptected frost - got down*in 30's at night for 3 days. I'm in OK Zone 7.* Cover*beds*with heavy black visqueen (sp?) cuz thats all i had.* Some beans not at all covered because at fence posts and phone pole.* Any chance they will survive?

If they didn't sprout yet and the soil didn't freeze they should.* If they sprouted and the leaves and stems have blackened, I suspect they won't survive.* You could also use old sheets or blankets for cover.* I suspect visqueen is a type of plastic.* I don't recommend using plastic because your plants can get cooked if the sun comes out and the plastic isn't removed.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
