this is an odd experiment, but here goes...i am a homebrewer and as such have combined my two hobbies by growing some ingredients for my beer.* this includes hop vines.* they are a rizome propogated plant (preferrable).* my brother in law and i wonder if it is possible to root leaf cuttings.* has anyone here tried/had success with this method of propagating these plants?* it is a longshot i know, but i could use the help.* thanks!

You can root the vines by burying them in moist soil while still attached to the parent plant.* Do this in the fall after harvest and you should have a new vine in spring.* It will be identical to the parent.* Here's some helpful growing info for hops.
