I have planted 27 Emerald Green Arborvitaes a few months ago all at the same time, and half of them are browning, the browning has started from the top working it's way down the tree. Here are some photo's I've attached which may help determine my problem.

    Thanks

    Hi Melaby,

I'm wondering if you removed the burlap around the rootball or were these in pots?* If there was burlap and twine did it have a green color?* That would indicate it's been treated with copper.* Do you see any webs?* Take a look here to see if any of this fits.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
