How do I kill out hedge or shrubs. We just bought a house and it has these awful looking shrubs around it. I want to kill them out so I can landscape.. Please help.

Congratulations on your new home! Just cut the tops off and dig out the stumps. Add compost to the bed before planting.
NewtWhen weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

How do you dig the stumps. I have tried at the old home place, and I coun't do it. I don't know if I just didn't have enough strength Please help

[align=left]Strength is a key factor in getting rid of stumps.* I* use a landscaping bar to assist in leverage and push the stump up.* Dig a little more... chop a little at the roots.. use the bar.. and then it will come out.** [/align]
