Shrubs and bug spray
This may sound stupid, forgive me, but does bug spray hurt shrubs? I get little spiders in my apartment (ug..hate spiders) and want to spray around the outside of my unit, but don't want to hurt the shrubs that are all around it..tx!

Hi Starrleicht,
That's not a stupid question at all. Most folks just get out the chemicals and spray and then write in asking what they can do to save their shrubs. It depends on what you use to spray the spiders with. It sounds like you won't be spraying directly on the shrubs so that should be fine. My daughter is petrified of spiders and can leave a room faster than anyone I know when one appears.
Oh, an interesting fact for you. Spiders are good predators in the garden and eat lots of 'bad' bugs. I know, my daughter doesn't care either. She says "all's fair if the spiders come into HER home".
