Trying to identify a flowering bush

Am trying to identify a flowering bush we were given - just a cutting, but now it is an 8 foot flowering bush with beautiful pink flowers - similar to hibiscus, different leaves, though.
Not sure how to insert an image - will e-mail, though

Might be Rose of Sharon. When does it bloom? Take a look here to see if this is what it looks like.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

    Plant Identification From Its Leaves

The State of Alabama Cooperative Extension Service has a plant identification routine, using the size and shape of its leaves. It is located at http://www.ag.auburn.edu/hf/landscape/leafid/
