I have an apple tree that I grew from an apple seed, I don't remember when I planted it so I don't know that age, I figure maybe 9 years. Anyways, this tree to my surpise has survived many winters and is really growing well.

My question's are: why hasn't it produced and flowers or apples? And how do you get apples?

I heard you have to have 2 apple tree's to get apples, and that you should graph a branch from one tree to the other.

We do have another apple tree, crab apple, but that one doesn't produce anything either. We pulled the crab apple tree out of the ground, it was just a stick and it's grown so much as well.

    Any help will be apperciated.

    Hi Minpetella,

Growing fruit trees from seed won't guarantee you will get the same tree as the fruit came from.* This should explain it all to you.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
