    can anyone name this tree?

I've taken pictures and cuttings of this tree to countless nurseries and landscape professionals. No one has the slightest idea what this tree is.
It's been over a year of searching now... Everyone says it's beautiful- now if it is so beautiful why isn't it better known? I took these pictures of it at Sam's Town in Las Vegas in the lobby/atrium. I've also seen it outdoors in Del Mar California in front of an office building and I've seen it indoors inside of the Topanga Mall California. Can anyone help me? Please!!!

Just guessing, but some kind of pittosporum? There are many kinds of them. I've seen them used as shrubs, but I've heard they can be trimmed up and trained as small trees.

I wish it was a pittosporum- That's what I thought it was at first, but this tree is much more delicate and droopy. I've added new photos that I took of it today in Del Mar on Pacific Coast Highway. These are at a higher resolution, though some are a little blurry- I'm no photographer:)

    Finally I know....

It's a tree origiating in the West Indies called "Bucida buceras" Unfortunately, California nurseries don't usually like to try new things; so for now I'll have to get them brought in from Florida where they're widly used for shade & street trees. A tree this beautiful should not go underappreciated and unknown.
